Recent acclaim for the duo include Daily Variety which reported, "singing mostly in English, her (Shani) high-pitched modal vocals could easily rub shoulders with Madonna, Shakira and Pink." L.A. Weekly reported, "(Andy) is the ultimate supreme superstar from a country where pop music is officially banned." The Los Angeles Times said "Shani is an intriguing and unusual example of the Middle Eastern music's push into American markets ...(with) no heritage links to the east."
