New
name, same bitter pill for women and horses! Know the facts!
Our fight to save horses is just beginning!
Just when we thought we were helping to downsize the PMU
industry, the drug manufacturer is at it again! This year
the FDA is scheduled to approve Wyeth's latest menopause
drug, made with the same estrogen derived from pregnant
mare's urine. In fact, this drug, called Aprela, might be on
the market as soon as May 2008!
Wyeth Pharmaceuticals is referring to "Aprela" as the "new
Premarin", but it's really the same bitter pill repackaged
for horses and women!
According to Bloomberg, " A new menopause pill, combining
the hormone estrogen with a bone-loss remedy, reduced hot
flashes by 80% in a study, the drug company Wyeth announced.
The company predicts sales of Aprela, if it's approved by
regulators, will hit $2 billion a year - offsetting a plunge
in revenue from the hormones Premarin and Prempro after
studies linked them to cancer and heart attacks."
Canyon Creek Farm Horse Rescue Inc, needs your support to
continue with our work to save innocent horses, whose lives
are governed by the sale of the drugs they are used to make!
At Canyon Creek Farm, we believe that the public deserves to
know the facts, to have a choice, be completely aware of the
consequences of using drugs they are prescribed, and know
what their alternatives are.
We can't go backward in the fight to free horses and women
from the ills of the PMU industry.
Please help us, help them... Attend our first fundraiser,
donate and be a part of our team!
Sincerely,
